We have a designed some interesting quirky angles and junctions into this two-level small city garden. The material palette includes charred timber, using a Japanese technique to preserve the timber, called shou sugi ban. We have also used Corten steel steps, gate and pots. The swings are a real favourite and have been used daily by the client's children since installation.
Our planting design includes lots of green to create harmony and texture rather than a riot of colour. We've included specimen Acers, Dicksonia and some large Fatsias as well as perennials and ornamental grasses.
