ide hill, kent my clients own a 100 year old kentish barn and required a sympathetic design to mix old with new, here I have used traditional kent ragstone walls but capped in a modern smooth sawn stone. The timber clad barn facade has been repeated on the ground level with decking boards, key features include a cantilevered oak bench that hugs the wall and appears to float, large topiary box balls and a stainless steel water blade all creating the wow factor. The garden takes on a whole new dimension at night.
